UK Police Widen Harvey Weinstein Investigation: 11 Sexual Assault Claims

The Producers Guild of America voted unanimously in October to expel Harvey Weinstein in the wake of serious sexual harassment and assault allegations. In a separate incident, he is alleged to have forced his weight on her and stuck his tongue down her throat.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

The case is scheduled to begin November 6.

A total of seven women are now understood to have come forward with sexual assault claims against the disgraced Hollywood mogul.

Heis also banned from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hosts the Oscars, while The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) suspended his membership.

Dozens of women, including actresses Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow, have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, while several others have accused the Oscar victor of raping them.

British police do not identify people under investigation until charges are laid.

Police in London were already probing three more allegations of sexual assault against Weinstein after English actress Lysette Anthony claimed he raped her in the hallway of her home.

Weinstein issued an apologetic statement when the sexual harassment allegations against him first surfaced.

Weinstein has genuinely "unequivocally repudiated" all accusations of non-consensual sex and is suing his former workshop, The Weinstein Company, for access to his emails that he thinks contain details "vindicating" him.
